February, 2007. I.T. Alliance, the Irish-owned outsourcing
company, has announced the appointment of Professor Joe
Peppard to its Board of Directors. Prof. Peppard holds the
Chair in Information Systems at Cranfield School of
Management and is Director of the School's Information
Systems Research Centre and IT Leadership Forum. He has
previously worked with I.T. Alliance and helped to develop
the company's innovative Tier-Two Service Alliance (T2SA)
outsourcing model.
Commenting on this appointment, Philip Maguire, CEO of I.T.
Alliance believes that Professor Peppard will be of
significant value to the company as it embarks on an
ambitious growth strategy. "Through his high level
consultancy work with major blue chip firms, he will ensure
ITA are at the forefront of its competency areas in Project
Management, Testing, Microsoft Infrastructure, Managed
Services and IT Service Management."
The focus of Professor
Peppard's research and teaching is in the area of
information systems, technology, strategy and management and
he has been published widely in academic and general
business and management journals. He is author of a number
of books including the best selling Strategic Planning for
Information Systems . He sits on the panel advising on the
development of global standards for IT Service Management
and is currently contributing research to advance practice
in project and programme management.
Over the years Professor
Peppard has acted as a consultant for many blue chip
organisations and consultancies and also works with a number
of technology companies helping them with strategy, market
positioning and growth. A regular speaker at conferences in
Europe, US and Australia, he is also a Director of Fineos
Corporation, a solutions provider to the global insurance,
government social insurance and banking industries. |
